Unconditional Love

Love can be the most emotional experience we can get involved in, it is way too easy to use the phrase “I love you” especially towards someone close related

How about unconditional love? Can we even image such love? Especially when this love is extended to those who irritate or even hateful

Do those type of people deserve any kind of love, let alone unconditional love?

But by saying this, we are being judgemental in other words saying we are better than others

It’s a sad fact that all humans too easily see the faults of others while ignoring our own

So it’s a case of removing the log from our eyes, before attempting to remove a speck from someone else’s eye

I know I have at least on irritating habit (I’ve been told) which I ignore most the time, and so I know there are many sins in my life that I stubbornly cling too, that not only blind me but also bind me

Grieving the Holy Spirit instead of allowing it to cleans and transform me into the person God wants me to become

We can all experience unconditional love by accepting the free gift of forgiveness offer by God through the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus dying for our sins

Not just one sin, but all sins of everyone in the world past and present and if that thought does not overwhelm your mind, it should do

As Christians we are called to love one another and forgive those who trespass against us, by doing so we will demonstrate a small and beginning part of unconditional love

By giving this kind of love, as the children’s song goes “Love is something if you give it away, Give it away give it away.  Love is something if you give it away. You end up having more

  1. Yes when we Love God Graham we obey Him and we also Love and forgive others too as you shared and as the Scripture also confirms we are to aim to be perfected in Love (1John 4:17-19 -Hebrews 6:12-Timithy 3:17- Matthew 5:48) putting our Carnal flesh to death which causes us to sin.(Romans 8 :12-15- Romans 6 – Colossians 3:4-6 -Galatians 5:24 -26). But if we Sin before we are Perfected, we can be forgiven, Jesus is our Advocate.

1John 4:16-17 And we have known and believed the Love that God hath to us. God is Love and he that dwelleth in Love dwelleth in God and God in him. Herein is our Love made Perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is so are we in this world.

Mark 11:25-26 And when ye stand Praying forgive if ye have ought against any that your Father also which is in Heaven may forgive you your trespasses but if ye do not forgive neither will your Father which is in Heaven forgive your trespasses.(KJV)

John 8:34-36 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who Sins is a slave to Sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free you will be free indeed.

1 John 3:9 No one who is Born of God will continue to Sin because God’s seed remains in him he cannot go on sinning because he has been Born of God.

1 Peter 1:21-23 Being born again not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible by the Word of God which liveth and abideth for ever.

Romans 6 : 1 – 2 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in Sin that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we that are dead to sin live any longer therein?

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no Condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who Walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spiri, perfecting Holiness in the fear of God.

1 John 3: 6-8 whosoever abideth in Him Sinneth not: whosoever Sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. Little children, let no man deceive you he that doeth Righteousness is Righteous even as He is Righteous.

1 John 2:4-6 He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not His Commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth His word in him verily is the Love of God Perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him. He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to Walk even as He Walked.

Romans 6:22-23 But now being made free from Sin, and become Servants to God ye have your fruit unto Holiness and the end Everlasting Life. For the wages of Sin is death but the gift of God is Eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:18-20 Being then made free from Sin, ye became the servants of Righteousness.

1 John 5:18-20 We know that no one who is Born of God Sins but He who was Born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him. We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true and we are in Him who is true in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

    Christian Love – Anne.
